NEW AG FACILITY
New MISD Agricultural Science Facility: A partnership between the MISD, the City of Midlothian and Holcim, Inc., resulted in the dedication of a brand new, 48,000 square foot Agricultural Science Facility this past September. For more information visit our New Information page.
MIDLOTHIAN DEBT & TAX RATES - THE REST OF THE STORY
Some candidates and uninformed citizens have been spreading a story that the Midlothian debt per housing unit is 4 times that of Cedar Hill, 3 times that of Mansfield and 50% more than Waxahachie. This is a blatant misstatement of the facts. Their numbers are grossly overstated because they are not counting all of the housing units in Midlothian, and they are including items that are not paid for by your taxes. For a clearer understanding of this issue, call the City offices and they will be happy to visit with you about it.
